The Dowa Group seeks to reduce the environmental impact of its corporate activities by striking a careful balance with the needs of the environment, contributing to the realization of a society that can produce sustainable growth on a global scale.
Following is a summary of the Dowa Group’s environmental conservation activities.
1. Programs to prevent pollution, conserve resources, and reduce the environmental impact of Dowa’s business activities.

To achieve ongoing reductions in environmental impact and make progress toward zero emissions, establish environmental goals and targets, and implement environmental management systems across the entire company, by department, as well as its subsidiaries and affiliates.
Remain vigilant about the environmental aspects of business activities (air, water, soil quality, waste, etc.), working to reduce environmental impact. Periodically review environmental goals and targets, and conduct environment audits.
Work to improve environmental conservation through compliance with laws, regulations, and agreements pertaining to business activities, products, and services.
Strive to reduce waste, soil contamination, and other environmental risks to society through environmental and smelting facilities. In addition, contribute to environmental conservation, energy conservation, resource conservation, and zero emissions through the recycling of metals, recovery of energy, and use of clean energy.
Increase the environmental awareness of employees, and achieve good relations with local communities through environmental conservation activities.
