Dowa’s history began with the mining of Kuroko ore in the town of Kosaka, located in Akita prefecture, northern Japan.
Dowa owns a minority interest in the Huckleberry copper mine and the Gibraltar copper mine, located in Canada.
The Tizapa mine is located in central Mexico. It produces zinc, lead and copper concentrates from massive sulfide ore.
