Dowa Mining Co.,Ltd. combined with five non-ferrous metal refining companies established the Akita Zinc Co.,Ltd. in February 1971 to produce electrolytic Zinc. The refining plant is situated in a large-scale waterfront development.
Our Iijima Refinery is located on the waterfront district of Akita Bay in a favorable environment. It is one of the leading plants in the world, concentrating on the latest technologies, in a spacious site.
This factory was designed with full antipollution facilities.
